Govt. Model Higher Secondary School, Sangrah has evolved from humble beginnings into a leading institution of learning in the region. Established with the aim of providing quality education to local children, the school has witnessed remarkable growth over the decades. From its early days as a primary school to its current status as a model high school, GMHSS stands as a testament to progress, commitment, and community spirit.
Govt. Model Higher Secondary School, located in Sangrah village, was founded in 1972 as a Primary School to offer foundational education to children in the area. In its early phase, the school operated with minimal resources and served a small number of students.
To meet the rising educational demands of the community, the school underwent several upgrades. It was first elevated to a Middle School, and in 1985, it achieved the level of a full-fledged High School.
In 2023, the school was upgraded to a Model High School. The transformation included enhanced infrastructure, advanced learning facilities, modern classroom furniture, and overall development supported by the education department.
